One of the most decorated swimmers in Florida history, Anthony Nesty enters his second season during 2019–2020 as the men’s head swimming and diving coach and 22nd year as a member of the Gators’ coaching staff.
The Gators successes didn’t skip a beat in Nesty’s first year at the helm. He coached the Gators to their seventh-consecutive Southeastern Conference championship and concluded the 2018–19 campaign with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships In his inaugural season.
His team performed in the classroom as well, collecting 39 SEC Academic Honor Roll selections, 16 First-Year Academic Honor Roll accolades, and eight CSCAA Scholar All-America selections. His team combined for a team grade-point-average of 3.00.
